Growing Marketmore 76 Slicing Cucumber

‘Marketmore 76’ is a trusted heirloom slicing cucumber prized for its dependable production, uniform fruits, and mild, sweet flavor. Vigorous vines produce straight, dark green cucumbers about 9 inches long with smooth skin and a crisp, refreshing texture. Strong disease resistance and wide adaptability make this variety a longtime favorite for both home gardens and market growers.

Start ‘Marketmore 76’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly in the garden about ½ inch deep. Space plants about 12 inches apart and grow in full sun. This variety performs reliably across a wide range of climates and is especially well suited to warm summer growing conditions.

Ready to harvest in about 65 days, begin picking the fruits once they reach a usable size while they are still firm, crisp, and tender. Harvest regularly to encourage continued production and maintain the best texture and flavor.

Mild, crisp, and refreshing, ‘Marketmore 76’ is excellent for fresh eating, slicing, salads, sandwiches, and snacking.

We planted these cucumber seeds in early spring and they produces big juicy fruits way into the fall and they had a wonderful flavor. We had so many we couldn't eat them all and we only plant a few seeds.
