Growing Information

Growing Magellan Hybrid Formula Mix Zinnia

‘Magellan Formula Mix’ is a hybrid zinnia blend prized for its enormous dahlia-style blooms, compact growth, and brilliant range of color. This eight-color formula mix produces impressively large flowers on tidy plants, delivering bold visual impact without requiring the space of taller zinnia varieties.

Plant ‘Magellan Formula Mix’ seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 9 to 12 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Germination typically takes 3 to 7 days. Its compact growth habit makes this variety especially well suited to containers and smaller gardens.

Ready to bloom in about 70 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. Regular cutting can provide a steady supply of large, colorful blooms for fresh arrangements.

Bold, compact, and colorful, ‘Magellan Formula Mix’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, large containers, smaller gardens, cut flower plantings, and pollinator-friendly gardens.
