Growing Dwarf Polka Dot Mix Bachelor's Button

‘Dwarf Polka Dot Mix’ is an open-pollinated bachelor’s button blend prized for its cheerful color range, compact growth, and pollinator appeal. Upright plants produce a lively mix of blue, purple, pink, red, and white blooms, offering the classic charm of Centaurea cyanus in a shorter, more manageable form that fits beautifully into smaller garden spaces.

Plant ‘Dwarf Polka Dot Mix’ seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 6 to 8 inches apart. Grow in full sun to partial shade. Germination typically takes 7 to 14 days. Its compact growth habit makes this variety especially well suited to smaller gardens and tight planting spaces.

Ready to bloom in about 65 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. The cheerful blooms provide a valuable nectar source for honey bees and other pollinators from late spring into summer.

Colorful, compact, and easy to enjoy, ‘Dwarf Polka Dot Mix’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, mixed flower plantings, cut flower gardens, and pollinator-friendly plantings.

Not dwarf

I started these from seed and they got over 36” tall. Photo shows them at about 30” and just starting to bloom. Very pretty but for me, they were not dwarf.
