Growing Information

Growing Pineapple Heirloom Tomato

‘Pineapple’ is a gigantic heirloom tomato prized for its dramatic bicolor fruits and rich fruity sweetness. Orange-and-yellow tomatoes are streaked with red inside and out, while the flesh is firm, meaty, and nearly seedless.

Start ‘Pineapple’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ⅛ inch deep, space plants 24 to 36 inches apart, and grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety thrives through warm summer conditions.

Ready to harvest in about 87 days, pick fruits once they reach full size and develop their characteristic multicolored pattern.

Rich, sweet, and meaty, ‘Pineapple’ is excellent for fresh eating and slicing.

So big! So Yummy! So pretty!

These seeds are very reliable. They germinate very well and grow into very sturdy plants! They are extremely flavorful and I look forward to the Pineapple variety of tomato every year! They are wonderful for making tomato water for a special treat. They were the last to ripen this year, but they were very large, the largest I've ever harvested from my garden! Bonus that they look so pretty on a serving plate, yellow with rose to red streaks throughout the flesh. My favorite, by far!

Yellow tomato

It's a pretty good yellow tomato. My plants didn't have any red running through any of the tomatoes witch were plentiful.
