Growing Information

Growing Snow Crown Hybrid Cauliflower

‘Snow Crown’ is a dependable hybrid cauliflower and 1975 All-America Selections Winner prized for its early maturity, adaptability, and consistent performance. It produces solid, well-rounded, snow-white heads with excellent flavor and a tender texture, even when growing conditions are less than ideal. Upright leaves help naturally protect the developing heads from sun-scald.

Start ‘Snow Crown’ seeds indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 18 to 24 inches apart, and grow in full sun. This cold-tolerant variety performs especially well in cool-season gardens.

Ready to harvest in about 61 days, the heads can be picked once the curds are firm, compact, and fully developed.

Mild, tender, and versatile, ‘Snow Crown’ is excellent for fresh eating, roasting, steaming, and everyday cooking.

Snow, too early

Really good seeds, but as I keep a watch on them since I've planted them. They're beginning to look a little drowsy. I think I'll wait until Spring to plant the other half pack.
