Growing Information

Growing Skytree Hybrid Broccoli

‘Skytree’ Hybrid Broccoli is a 2024 AAS Winner known for its upright growth habit, tender stems, and flavorful florets. Compact plants grow about 24 inches tall and produce attractive 4–8 inch heads on sturdy vertical stems that keep the crop clean and easy to harvest.

Start ‘Skytree’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly in the garden when conditions are suitable for broccoli. Grow plants in fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture and full sun to support strong, upright growth and well-formed heads.

Harvest the main head once it reaches the desired size and the florets are still tight. The upright stems make cutting easier and help keep the developing heads elevated and accessible.

‘Skytree’ broccoli is well suited for fresh eating, salads, steaming, roasting, stir-frying, and serving raw with dips. Both the tender stems and flavorful florets can be used in the kitchen.
