Growing Cheyenne Spirit Echinacea Coneflower

‘Cheyenne Spirit’ is an award-winning echinacea and 2013 All-America Selections Winner prized for its vibrant color range, strong branching, and dependable garden performance. This hardy perennial produces sturdy, upright blooms in shades of orange, purple, scarlet, yellow, cream, and white, bringing brilliant color to the garden while attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators.

Plant ‘Cheyenne Spirit’ seeds about ⅛ inch deep and space plants about 18 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Germination typically takes 10 to 20 days after stratification. This heat-tolerant variety is also well suited to containers.

Ready to bloom in about 80 days, enjoy the flowers as they open and reach their best display stage. Well-branched plants produce an abundance of blooms throughout the season, providing long-lasting garden color and plenty of stems for cutting.

Bright, sturdy, and versatile, ‘Cheyenne Spirit’ is an excellent choice for ornamental beds, borders, containers, cut flower gardens, dried arrangements, and pollinator-friendly plantings.

When I have something to say

Will write a review when something happens. I’m in zone 5 and Mother Nature has not recognized spring yet. Low last night was 21. Last week it got down to 9. It’s supposed to be more spring like in a few days. The seeds are winter sown in distilled water jugs. Hoping to see heads sticking their heads out to view the world shortly.
