Growing Information

Growing Bodacious RM (yellow se+) Hybrid Sweet Corn

‘Bodacious RM’ is a dependable hybrid sweet corn prized for its outstanding eating quality, extra-sweet flavor, and excellent holding ability after harvest. Plump ears are packed with 16 to 18 rows of deep yellow kernels that stay tender, juicy, and flavorful. Robust stalks and strong disease resistance add to its reliable midseason performance.

Sow ‘Bodacious RM’ directly in the garden about 1 inch deep. Space plants about 3 feet apart and grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety is also noted for its strong disease resistance.

Ready to harvest in about 75 days, begin checking the ears as they approach maturity and pick them at peak eating quality when the kernels are plump and juicy.

Sweet, tender, and reliable, ‘Bodacious RM’ is excellent for fresh eating and canning.

Grows well here in N C Idaho. Great taste. Freezes well and cans well. I love this corn.

The best corn I've grown

I was introduced this variety when I lived in Oregon temporarily. I bought at the farmer's market and went back to ask the vendor its name. I am starting the 23rd year and plan to continue growing it as long as I'm able to garden. Large ears and super sweet. I cut the corn off my surplus and freeze. It tastes like it's real garden corn even after frozen.
