Growing Information

Growing Artwork Baby Hybrid Broccoli

‘Artwork Baby’ Hybrid Broccoli is a 2015 AAS Winner bred for repeated harvests of tender broccoli spears. Plants produce a central head followed by numerous side shoots, giving gardeners an extended harvest rather than a single large head.

Start ‘Artwork Baby’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly in the garden when conditions are cool and suitable for broccoli. Grow plants in fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture to support steady growth and tender stems.

For the best production, harvest the central head when it reaches about 1 inch across. Removing it early encourages the plant to develop multiple side shoots, which can then be harvested about every five days as they reach the desired size.

‘Artwork Baby’ produces sweet, mild-flavored stems that are tender and easy to prepare. The spears are well suited for fresh eating, steaming, roasting, sautéing, and other everyday cooking.

Easy to grow

These seeds germinate so easily and I got 100% germination of these seeds. The broccoli is sweet and my family loves to eat this. It’s a race to harvest it before it gets eaten from being picked in the garden!

Just a few plants provided us with broccoli all summer and filled the freezer.
Growing it again this year for sure.
