Growing Information

Growing Ambrosia (bicolor se+) Hybrid Sweet Corn

‘Ambrosia’ is a popular bicolor se+ hybrid sweet corn prized for its exceptional sweetness, tender texture, and rich, classic corn flavor. Large, 8-inch ears fill out with about 16 rows of juicy yellow and white kernels that stay sweet and tender longer after harvest thanks to enhanced-sugar genetics. Vigorous plants grow about 6 to 7 feet tall and produce dependable, high-quality ears for summer harvests.

Sow ‘Ambrosia’ directly in the garden about 1 inch deep. Space plants about 3 feet apart and grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety performs best when planted in blocks to encourage good pollination and full kernel development.

Ready to harvest in about 75 days, begin checking the ears as they approach maturity and pick them at peak eating quality when the kernels are plump and juicy.

Sweet, crisp, and versatile, ‘Ambrosia’ is excellent for fresh eating, steaming, grilling, canning, and everyday cooking.

Bestsweet corn

Very reliable harvests. Best thing is a flexible harvest window and stores longer than most.

Nectar of the Gourds!!!

Seeds 'N Such is my "go to" seed supplier. The seeds are of excellent quality. I've been vegetable gardening for decades and I simply won't order from any other supplier. I gave up on other well known companies (Burp. ...) because of poor germination results and, believe it or not, mislabeled product. Nothing like planting "Sweet 100" seeds and nurturing them through the summer only to find out they're run of the mill cherry tomatoes (Burp....).
So, do yourself a big favor and stick to Seeds 'N Such. Let's get growing!!!

As Advertised

This was my first year planting this variety. I will definitely be planting nothing but this in the future. Sweetest corn I have ever eaten. Hands down better than silver queen and peaches and cream. No starchy taste or tough kernels
