Growing Wildcat Hybrid Cayenne Pepper

‘Wildcat Cayenne’ is an award-winning hybrid pepper and 2023 All-America Selections Winner prized for its extra-large fruits, thick flesh, and excellent cayenne flavor. Straight, uniform peppers reach about 8 to 12 inches long and combine smoky flavor, peppery sweetness, and mild heat of approximately 500 to 1,500 Scoville units.

Start ‘Wildcat Cayenne’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 18 to 24 inches apart. Grow in full sun. Compact plants are well suited to containers and smaller gardens and are noted for disease resistance.

Ready to harvest in about 80 days, pick peppers once they reach their mature size and color.

Smoky, mildly hot, and versatile, ‘Wildcat Cayenne’ is excellent for fresh eating, stuffing, salsa, pickling, roasting, drying, and everyday cooking.

Looks like I won't get them planted this year

Ended up with way too many peppers & with wild weather we have been having these arrived to late to get them planted this year. Summer is already hitting us in the Sonora Desert.
