Sweet Heat Hybrid Bell Pepper
Growing Sweet Heat Hybrid Bell Pepper
‘Sweet Heat’ is a hybrid pepper prized for its quick maturity and distinctive sweet, mildly spicy flavor. Similar to pepperoncini with subtle smoky undertones, the productive fruits can be harvested either green or red.
Start ‘Sweet Heat’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 12 to 24 inches apart, and grow in full sun. Very compact plants are especially well suited to smaller gardens.
Ready to harvest in about 56 days, pick fruits green or allow them to mature red according to the flavor and color you prefer.
Sweet, smoky, and mildly spicy, ‘Sweet Heat’ is excellent for grilling, salsa, fresh eating, and everyday cooking.
