Growing Information

Growing Seaside Hybrid Spinach

‘Seaside’ is a spinach variety prized for its exceptional uniformity, upright growth, and suitability for both baby-leaf and bunch harvests. Smooth, thick, dark green leaves have an attractive spade shape, while plants are slow to bolt and resistant to downy mildew.

Sow ‘Seaside’ directly in the garden about ½ inch deep and space plants 2 to 4 inches apart. Grow in full sun. This disease-resistant variety performs especially well in spring and summer plantings.

Ready to harvest in about 60 days, pick leaves at the size you prefer, taking younger growth for tender baby spinach.

Smooth, tender, and productive, ‘Seaside’ is excellent for fresh eating, salads, sautéing, and everyday cooking.
