Saladmore Bush Hybrid Cucumber
Growing Saladmore Bush Hybrid Cucumber
‘Saladmore’ is an award-winning hybrid cucumber and 2014 All-America Selections Winner prized for its versatility, compact growth, and heavy production. Semi-bush plants produce prolific yields of long, straight, dark green fruits, making this variety especially well suited to smaller gardens. Regular picking keeps the plants producing steadily throughout the season.
Sow ‘Saladmore’ directly in the garden about ½ inch deep. Space plants about 2 feet apart and grow in full sun. This variety is noted for good disease resistance and performs especially well where garden space is limited.
Ready to harvest in about 55 days, pick the fruits young for crisp picklers or allow them to grow larger for slicing and spears. Harvest regularly to encourage continued production and maintain the best texture and flavor.
Crisp, productive, and versatile, ‘Saladmore’ is excellent for pickling, slicing, salads, and fresh eating.
