Patio Snacker Hybrid Cucumber
Growing Patio Snacker Hybrid Cucumber
‘Patio Snacker’ is an early hybrid cucumber prized for its compact growth, heavy yields, and crisp, flavorful fruits. Short, branching vines stay within a tidy footprint while producing deep green, white-spined cucumbers that are never bitter and especially enjoyable fresh. Despite its compact size, ‘Patio Snacker’ can rival larger vining varieties in productivity when harvested regularly.
Start ‘Patio Snacker’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly in the garden about ½ inch deep. Space plants about 12 inches apart and grow in full sun. This variety is especially well suited to containers and smaller gardens and performs well in a 3- to 5-gallon container with a small trellis for support.
Ready to harvest in about 60 days, begin picking the fruits once they reach a usable size while they are still firm, crisp, and tender. Harvest regularly to encourage continued production and maintain the best texture and flavor.
Crisp, refreshing, and productive, ‘Patio Snacker’ is excellent for fresh eating, slicing, salads, and snacking.
