Parisian Hybrid Cucumber
Growing Parisian Hybrid Cucumber
‘Parisian’ is an award-winning hybrid cucumber and 2015 All-America Selections Winner prized for its compact growth, crunchy texture, and excellent pickling quality. Semi-vining plants produce abundant crops of small, black-spined gherkins with bold flavor and firm flesh that holds up especially well in the jar.
Start ‘Parisian’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly in the garden about ½ inch deep. Space plants about 12 inches apart and grow in full sun. This compact variety is especially well suited to containers, patio pots, and smaller gardens and is also noted for good disease resistance.
Ready to harvest in about 50 days, begin picking the fruits once they reach a usable size while they are still firm, crisp, and tender. Harvest regularly to encourage continued production and maintain the best texture and flavor.
Crisp, flavorful, and productive, ‘Parisian’ is especially well suited for pickling.
