Growing Information

Growing Palpatation Hybrid Oxheart Tomato

‘Palpatation’ is a hybrid Cuor di Bue-type tomato prized for its heart shape, deep ribbing, and glossy red finish. Large fruits grow in clusters of 4 to 7 and contain thick, meaty flesh with relatively few seeds and balanced sweet-acid flavor.

Start ‘Palpatation’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 24 to 36 inches apart, and grow in full sun. Plants are well suited to containers and are noted for disease resistance.

Ready to harvest in about 60 days, pick fruits once they reach full size and deep red maturity.

Meaty, balanced, and versatile, ‘Palpatation’ is excellent for slicing, sauces, roasting, canning, fresh eating, and everyday cooking.

Unique Tomato

I had good luck growing this tomato, it had good flavor and held up very well when sliced. Most ran about 1 1/4 to 2 lbs until the 100 degree hit with no rain so far for the last 2 months. I will try again nest year!
