Growing Information

Growing Orange Blaze Hybrid Pepper

‘Orange Blaze’ is an award-winning hybrid pepper and 2011 All-America Selections Winner prized for its intensely vivid orange color, crunchy texture, and sweet flavor. Elongated fruits develop two to three lobes and bring bright color to both the garden and kitchen.

Start ‘Orange Blaze’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 24 to 36 inches apart, and grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety is also noted for multiple disease resistance.

Ready to harvest in about 80 days, pick peppers once they reach their mature size and brilliant orange color.

Sweet, crunchy, and colorful, ‘Orange Blaze’ is excellent for fresh eating, slicing, salads, stuffing, and everyday cooking.

Orange Blaze Peppers

Although these peppers are small, they produce like crazy. Very sweet pepper. Great for salads or for snacking. I would highly recommend growing this for a steady supply of snacking peppers. Most plants had 10-15 peppers on them and still flowering and setting more.
