Mountain Rouge Hybrid Beefsteak Tomato
Growing Mountain Rouge Hybrid Beefsteak Tomato
‘Mountain Rouge’ is an award-winning tomato and 2019 All-America Selections Winner prized for strong Late Blight resistance and extended production. Beefsteak-size fruits develop a beautiful reddish-pink color and offer an appealing balance of sweetness and acidity.
Start ‘Mountain Rouge’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 24 to 36 inches apart, and grow in full sun. Indeterminate vines produce over a longer season and are especially noted for disease resistance.
Ready to harvest in about 73 days, pick fruits once they reach full size and mature reddish-pink color.
Balanced, flavorful, and dependable, ‘Mountain Rouge’ is excellent for fresh eating and slicing.
