Mexibell Hybrid Bell Pepper
Growing Mexibell Hybrid Bell Pepper
‘Mexibell’ is an award-winning hybrid pepper and 1988 All-America Selections Winner prized for combining the shape of a sweet bell with the flavor of a mild chile. Blocky, three- to four-lobed fruits mature from green through chocolate before turning red on compact plants.
Start ‘Mexibell’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep, space plants 12 to 24 inches apart, and grow in full sun. Its compact habit makes this variety especially well suited to smaller gardens.
Ready to harvest in about 70 days, pick peppers at any stage of their changing color according to your preferred flavor.
Mildly spicy and distinctive, ‘Mexibell’ is especially well suited to sauces, drying, and everyday cooking.
