Hijinks Hybrid Pumpkin
Growing Hijinks Hybrid Pumpkin
‘Hijinks’ is an award-winning hybrid pumpkin and 2011 All-America Selections Winner prized for its smooth skin, rich orange color, and kid-friendly size. Distinctive grooves and strong, durable stems make the fruits especially easy to handle and decorate.
Start ‘Hijinks’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly where conditions allow. Plant seeds about ½ to 1 inch deep, space plants 24 to 36 inches apart, and grow in full sun. Allow plenty of room for the vines to spread. Plants are noted for good disease resistance.
Ready to harvest in about 95 days, pick pumpkins once their deep orange color and firm rind are fully developed.
Colorful, durable, and fun, ‘Hijinks’ is excellent for painting, carving, fall décor, ornamental displays, cooking, and storage.
