Halona Hybrid Melon
Growing Halona Hybrid Melon
‘Halona’ is an early hybrid melon prized for its exceptionally sweet flavor, thick orange flesh, and productive vines. Round fruits are heavily netted and ribbed with a small seed cavity, providing plenty of flavorful flesh in every harvest. Its early maturity makes it especially valuable for short growing seasons.
Start ‘Halona’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly where conditions allow. Plant seeds about ½ inch deep and space plants about 18 inches apart. Grow in full sun. This variety is also noted for strong disease resistance.
Ready to harvest in about 72 days, begin checking fruits as they reach full size and develop their mature color, fragrance, and sweetness.
Sweet, juicy, and early, ‘Halona’ is excellent for fresh eating, fruit salads, breakfast plates, and summer desserts.
