Growing Information

Growing Fatalii Hot Habanero Pepper

‘Fatalii’ is an open-pollinated hot pepper prized for its intense heat, golden-orange color, and distinctive citrus-like flavor. Wrinkled, tapered fruits deliver a bright fruity taste before their powerful heat develops.

Start ‘Fatalii’ indoors for transplanting. Plant seeds about ¼ inch deep and space plants 24 to 36 inches apart. Grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety also performs well in pots and can be overwintered indoors where conditions allow.

Ready to harvest in about 85 days, pick fruits once they reach their mature size and brilliant golden-orange color.

Hot, citrusy, and distinctive, ‘Fatalii’ is especially well suited to sauces, hot condiments, and drying.
