Bush Pickle Hybrid Cucumber
Growing Bush Pickle Hybrid Cucumber
‘Bush Pickle’ is a compact hybrid cucumber prized for its early production, crisp texture, and excellent performance in small spaces. Bushy plants produce prolific yields of straight, medium-green fruits with white spines and a mild, refreshing flavor. Its compact spread makes this variety especially well suited to containers, raised beds, and smaller gardens.
Start ‘Bush Pickle’ indoors for transplanting or sow directly in the garden about ½ inch deep. Space plants about 12 inches apart and grow in full sun. This variety is well suited to containers and small-space gardens and is also noted for good disease resistance.
Ready to harvest in about 48 days, begin picking the fruits once they reach a usable size while they are still firm, crisp, and tender. Harvest regularly to encourage continued production and maintain the best texture and flavor.
Crisp, mild, and productive, ‘Bush Pickle’ is especially well suited for pickling.
