I received these seeds free in my spring seed shipment, so just threw them in the ground not knowing what to expect. The germination and production was excellent. The flavor is sweet and mild, slightly crisp. Actually this is the best lettuce I have ever grown! I am ordering a big packet for fall planting; some for us, some for a neighbor. Give it a try...you can't go wrong with this lettuce.

Truly IS a prize!

This lettuce is delicious.....tender with a slight crunch!
And it was FREE this year!
The outer leaves are big enough to use as a wrap. I made homemade chicken salad and rolled it up in a few leaves.
I'll definitely add this to my "plant every year" list.
