Siberian Tomato

Very different tomato when ripe no shelf life.

I started these indoors and 10 plants made it outside. I kept 3 and gave the rest away. It is Oct 27th in Northern NY and two are still blossoming and producing a lot of fruit on sturdy stems. Picked about 3 dozen to ripen in the house as snow predicted in next few days.
Very meaty and flavor is great. Gave some to neighbors to enjoy too.
Plants are over 4' tall. Will have to leave until spring to pull up as so well rooted in the raised bed garden.

My first time trying these seeds so I don't how the plants will shape up over the summer but I have found the germination rate so far to be just over 60% when one gives them 4-5+ weeks of continued moist soil. That was not expected compared to other tomato types. Crossing my fingers...may turn out to be a good type for my area.

Great little tomato. Early and fairly productive. Even though it's a determinate variety, I'm still getting a few tomatoes every now and then after several months in the garden bed. Started indoors in winter, then transferred outdoors. 3 plants: I pulled one from its container when I was ready to replant, one culled after two harvests as it wilted a bit, and the last one is still bearing about 4 tomatoes that are ripening now in September.
