95 days. AAS Winner. Our first-ever kabocha squash is a vivid orange-red and the most striking of any squash we offer! Kabochas are similar to buttercups but, if properly cured, among the sweetest of all squash. Very tender, bright-orange flesh is smooth, nutty, stringless and sweet and perfect for baking, mashing or pies. Slightly flattened, globe-shaped fruits weigh 3 to 5-lbs. on vigorous, short vines that spread 6 to 8-ft. Perhaps the best eating quality of any winter squash.
