Good melon for the north

Grew this melon for the first time last year. It's difficult to grow melons where I live near Milwaukee, so I always start melons in Cowpots (May 1st) and transplant them (first week of June) without disturbing the root system. This is the only honeydew I've grown that actually produced some decent sized, tasty melons. The seeds all geminated and the plants were rigorous growers. I'm growing them again this year.

Delicious and Plentiful

Only planted a couple of these this year to try them out and they grew like wildfire. The first two fruit were a little smaller, but delicious. Some bites taste like honey in your mouth. There are currently 5+ more going and some as big as a basketball. Will definitely grow again. Converted my wife to a honeydew lover!

Bumper crop

These Early Dew grew like wild fire. I planted 3 seeds in 2 hills thinning to 1 plant on 1 hill & 2 plants on 2nd hill & I had 11 melons some the size of the largest head I've ever seen. Most were just a good normal size. The plants were EXTREMELY healthy disease resistant & kept producing until I pulled them in October. I live in Tewksbury, Mass & never had much luck with melons in fact I grew snow mass & Dolce but neither produced. This is the melon for honeydew lovers. The flesh was firm & sweet. Hint let ripen on vine until rind turns copperish color.
