An improved version of 'Sweet Affirmed' which it replaces. 'Secretariat' is a beautiful 45-count racehorse, supporting a light green background with medium green stripes. The early maturing, high yielding, compact vines are off to the races to provided troves of wonderful fruits, loaded with a succulent firm, crisp, deep red flesh. Pollinator included.

Typical of Seedless Watermelon

Over 90% germination rate in <48 hours when held at 85 F and wrapped in slightly damp paper towels. I use this method with all triploid watermelons to start seedlings as these require temperatures that are not easily achieved in a direct sow application. Picked nice melon today from this variety and is fantastic as are all Sakata seedless watermelon varieties I have grown.
