50 days. I introduced this variety to my Vermont Bean Seed Co. customers in the 1990s to offer a rich, full-bodied, almost nutty-flavored alternative to other summer squash. A Lebanese type that starts bearing in only 7 weeks and produces heavily to late fall, with fruits that are shorter and plumper than zucchini. Pale green skin and white interior that’s best picked at 4 in. Intense full flavor allows it to be used fresh, stuffed or even as a meat substitute in sauces. Grows 3-ft. and spreads 6-ft.
