‘American Dream’ is an award-winning hybrid sweet corn and 2017 All-America Selections Winner, recognized for its exceptional sweetness, tenderness, and improved garden performance. AAS honors are especially uncommon for sweet corn—before ‘American Dream,’ the previous sweet corn winner was ‘Honey ‘N Pearl’ in 1988. This variety matures slightly earlier than ‘Honey ‘N Pearl’ and offers improved germination, tender kernels, and outstanding flavor.

Sow ‘American Dream’ directly in the garden about 1 inch deep. Space plants 6 to 7 inches apart and grow in full sun. This heat-tolerant variety performs well in warm summer conditions.

Ready to harvest in about 77 days, begin checking the ears as they approach maturity and pick them at peak eating quality when the kernels are plump, sweet, and juicy.
