Great for Northwest Texans

I have grown Phoenix hot set tomatoes for several years. They produce a lot of fruit on each plant and diseases resistant. The first fruit rippened in late June and I just picked 3 gallons of tomatos from 4 plants today 9-6. There are a lot of tomatoes left to ripen. I use only organic products.

Finally found one

Being a transplant to Texas from Ohio, gardening became a new experience. It’s been trail and error for the most part. Having spent the last five years trying to find a variety of tomato that would survive and produce in the scorching heat has been a mission. This year (2020), I tried Phoenix Hybrid. It did amazingly well and I finally got plenty of home grown tomatoes to where I could share. They might not be huge but they were on flavor. In fact, until we had hard frosts this past week, I was still getting tomatoes at the end of November.
I’m very excited now and hope to have a repeat of my success next year. Also, as a side note, I planted borage among my tomatoes to keep the tobacco/tomato worms away and it worked. Plus, honey bees love it!
