Our most unusual cuke is bright lemon yellow, round, and best when harvested small for either pickles or salads. Flavor is sweet, mild, never bitter, with an old-fashioned cucumber flavor with a hint of nuttiness. Be patient, it’s a late bearer.

Lemon cucumber

If you have not tried these lemon cucumbers, you’re missing out! These are absolutely delicious. My family and I love them over the regular cucumbers but of course we grow both! They do best planted on a trellis, fence or cucumber cage. They do get very long. They grows well in New Mexico where it’s hot and dry and they produces abundance of cucumbers all year long until we hit our first freeze. Pic when they are still a light yellow and almost to the size of a tennis ball, or a little under that size.
